The most catching thing about this piece is the dynamic movement. In my mind's eye I see the machine skidding to a halt after dashing onto the scene. The dice necklace and the dial nipples are an excellent touch of detail, with a simple unified color scheme broken up by the bright orange flames. The pixel shadow groups are nice and crisp, smoothly defining shape and texture. I'd love to see this robot in a DS or Neo-Geo title. Proportionally, the anatomy seems to take a joy in its own cartoonishness, emphasizing the the gigantic upper body and teeny-tiny feet. While the piece does not elicit a strong sense of emotion or mood, it is well executed and has a “coolness factor” in spades.

A very vibrant and eye-catching piece indeed. Its hulking stance and presence is very powerful and serious.The stylized and jagged flames accent its current movement and the ending pose itself are very dynamic. Even the little car accessories enhance its automobile-like form. This is very successful pixelated image and it really does give off a feeling of rapid motion and action! I especially like the minor details, like the white sparks emitted from the skidding of the feet on the ground. The shading on Daemon Drifter is also very sharp,clean and attractive. Hope to see more of this action-y spritework in the future

a lot of these lines are more jagged than they should, it gives me the impresion you scan these lines and the trace over them, am i right?
